Model Home Host Job Description

Open House Network is a specialized staffing agency offering as-needed Hosts to assist sales staff for over 50 New Home Builders in the Dallas – Fort Worth Metroplex and beyond.  We are seeking outgoing and professional people with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with our clients.  This is a great opportunity for retirees, real estate students or anyone who has a flexible schedule and wants to work in a worry-free and stress-free environment. This is a Host typeposition meeting, greeting, and directing prospects through model homes. Work weeks may range from two to four days and are not guaranteed but assigned based on demand from our clients. All training is provided In-Person. OHN cannot employ active Texas licensed real estate professionals.

Position Requirements

  • Be a self-starter, personable, professional, and love meeting new people
  • Excellent and prompt verbal and written communication skills
  • Agree to use your personal smartphone device and agree to install company provided app
  • Have reliable transportation that will remain on property with you
  • Stand and or walk for 20+ minutes at a time including climbing stairs unassisted
  • Work hours may be as early as 9:45am and as late as 7pm
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Opening and closing the models and inventory homes
  • Welcoming potential buyers, building rapport, and providing them with excellent service
  • Demonstrating model and inventory homes, including features and benefits
  • Gathering details and taking diligent notes
  • Delivering exceptional customer service to the sales team and prospective buyers

Dress Code

  • Ladies’ minimum: Blouses, Slacks, Dresses, Skirts, Dress Shoes
  • Men minimum:  Long Sleeve Dress Shirt and Tie, Slacks, Dress Shoes
  • No visible tattoos or facial piercings
  • Perfume, cologne, or use of any tobacco products are strictly prohibited

Scheduling

A request for Builder coverage is a shift. Shifts are placed on your schedule based on your availability and your location to the community.  Work weeks may range from 2 to 4 days and are not guaranteed but assigned based on demand from our clients. To receive additional shifts, you will also claim open shifts from our job board, work occasional same day and weekend shifts.  Shifts are a minimum of 4 hours per day and can be single or multiple days and will be placed on your schedule on the same day or several days or weeks in advance.

Compensation

All employees are paid at $12.00 per hour and will increase depending on if it is a same day assignment or over your mileage range. Pay is bi-weekly via direct deposit or pay card.

Employee Types

Part Time

  • Complete a minimum of 64 assignment hours per month (Sunday-Saturday) and be available a minimum of 2 weekend days per week
  • Have a minimum of 3 consecutive weekdays available (Wednesdays – Sundays are the busiest days)
  • Worksites will be within a 20 mile range from your home

Weekend Only

  • Complete a minimum of 30 assignment hours per month (Saturday/Sunday)
  • Have 1-day availability every weekend OR 2-day availability every other weekend
  • Worksites will be within a 20 mile range from your home
